Yo!

I drew this in under a minute. It was really quick and I wasnt really thinking, I just let the pencil do the thinking. He does look kind of creepy.... and i think I like shirt with stripe, but I dont own one at all...

cut cut cut

I hate cutting grass. I usually cut it when I couldn't stand it anymore. The grow too fast sometime... This time the grass was soooo long, I think I might have trolls hiding in them. Yes, that's my lawn mower behind all the grass, its like a jungle...

Early poster concept

One of the early deign for my summer camp poster. I wanted to do an ice-cream truck with kids running after it, well, a summer camp truck, i guess...

I like it like this, but i need to put more information on it, and once I do that, I lost the whole design. Thing didnt look as clean and everything just look too busy. So I just leave it as it is and move on to a different design. I will use this for something else.

Been working on more tadpole boy, they will be all different and there will be alot of them! So this is just a screen shot of what i am doing... 5:20 in the morning....

Tadpole Boy colour

Awhile ago, I design tadpole boy and find the colour is abit plain, so I change it. I think this look more stand out and its just more eye popping. He will be use for this year summer camp flyer, poster and all kind of thing in the studio for the next coming month.

Final Pirate

Finally finish inking it last nite. I then scan in photoshop to add black. Black is important in inking anything, it help frame your work and it guide the viewer where to look in your drawing. So I spend abit of time figuring out where to add black. I also change some of the composition of the jewellery in photoshop, but dont think you will notice it. lol. There are some area I still dont really like and bug me, but over all I kind of like how it all end up. Its not something I would draw everyday, manga is not really my thing, but its nice to know I can still do it.

Detail pirate face

Inking the face and Hair. Its alway fun to ink hair. I am almost done, just the body and fixing some line weight and done. I dont think it will be colouring this. at least for now. :)

After the clean blue, I start adding detail with my outliner. I wasn't sure what kind of line I should do it. It end up thicker than I like them to be. Took me abit over an hour to ink all the jewellery. My eye and back are killing me now. its 5 in the morning and I need to sleep. i will try to finish the rest tomorrow :)

Blue clean Pirate

Haven't post anything for awhile. I work on this pirate here and there abit, not until tonite I actually sit down with my coffee and finish all the detail in blue. Lately, I was kind of busy updating my website and all the summer camp poster and stuff. I will post all the new work later. Kind of feel sorry to leave her on my desk for so long. lol

During this stage,  I took the time to add all the details. Took me awhile, but it was fun. There are still some area I need to fix. But for now, I will let it sit for abit and go back to it later. Sometime if you work on something for awhile, you don't see the mistake. Step away from it for awhile and you will see it more clearly.

Its going to take me awhile to ink it.....

Blue rough Pirate

Drawing something I haven't do for a long time...Its been awhile I draw anything manga!  Just like other teenager, I used to read alot manga and watch anime back in the day. But after I got into animation, they got it out of my system....So its nice to revisit that manga me once in awhile, so that I dont lose it all!!

When I start a drawing, I usually like to rough it out in blue pencil first. Its easiler to pencil or ink on top of it and its also easy to deleted all the blue pencil line in photoshop.

In the coming days, I will finish the drawing, hopefully you will see the end result here.

Summer Camp wip

Yes, Tadpole boy is design for my summer camp poster and flyer, he will be all over the studio. Above its just a quick test to see if he work well with text and more stuff. I like the colour, but I think it will be too soft for the poster and flyer. Maybe i will use this colour for the website.

I draw him again in Illustrator. Just testing some colour and see how he look over all. Its ok, there is something i don't like about it, i don't know what. I guess i will put him in a different pose and see. Maybe in different colour too. I hate it when this happen, you know something is wrong but don't know what....

clean design

Kind of like the design of this drawing. Still not 100% sure about the eye, but the scale is what I want. Going to go over it in Illustrator and see how it look with colouir and all.

Tiger

Thats my cat "Tiger", he like to see what I drew. Everytime I get up from my drawing table, he would jump up right away and see what I drew. Sometime he will even sit on my lap and watch my pencil go. 

He seem to like Tadpole Boy. :)

Just some rough design I did with thte character, Just testing different eye and see how it fit with his emotion and all. I want his arm to be long, really long, but with short short leg. and of could he will be in blue!! Back to the drawing table with more design!!
